| 4. If the sound post is too
thick, or F-hole narrow: First insert the tool inside the violin, then
push the Sound Post inside the clamp. |
5. Maneuver the handle so
that the sound post is close to the highest part around violin center. |
6.Make sure the Tool
Handle is absolutely vertical relative to violin body. Turn the handle
counterclockwise, thus bringing the Sound Post towards its intended
position. |

| 7. When the Sound Post
gets to the right position it should jam between top and bottom violin
plates. Turning the handle counterclockwise will set the post, apply
just enough pressure to set the sound post..
It is important at this stage to make sure the sound post is vertical
and the shorter side points towards the side of the violin. |
An
inspection light or a flash light helps to see the mark at the bottom
of the sound post. Gently try to rotate the sound post, when properly
inserted the sound post will not turn. Sliding the tool up and down
also will not disturb the sound post position.
Leave Tool attached to Sound Post. |
9. Reset
the bridge, and tighten strings |

| 10.
Rotate handle
counterclockwise to open the spring clamp. While spring is open, pull
the tool away by about 1/4 inch. This will move the cradle part beyond
the Sound Post. |
11.
Check the alignment. Sound Post mark is visible and pointing to
side. |
